Southwest Airlines is getting flak from some of its passengers over its promotional deal with Sports Illustrated in which a seductive image of bikini-clad supermodel Bar Refaeli is painted along the outside length of one of its Boeing 737s. Refaeli — whose main squeeze is actor Leonardo DiCaprio — is the cover model for this year’s edition of Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue, which was released last month. According to Australia’s News.com, Southwest has been flooded with criticism, with passengers comparing the image on the plane to soft porn and saying it’s in poor taste. The jet debuted this month and it used like any other plane in the Southwest fleet, serving all routes. The image will be removed when the promotion ends in a few months.
